To the Parents of young singers at Horn Elementary:
Each holiday season, Hollins University presents its annual White Gift
Service. This is an evening of lessons, carols, and choral music for the whole
family – complete with choirs, brass quintet, organ, and bells.
This year, I would love for you to join us in song! You are
warmly invited to sing with the Hollins University Concert Choir, Chamber
Singers, Roanoke Chamber Brass, and student instrumentalists for one very fun
and musical evening.
My goal this year is to invite children and families from around the
city – from area schools, churches, and musical groups – to participate in one
large group number, showcasing the community spirit and holiday cheer present
across Roanoke Valley. I would be so pleased for your child (or children) to
take part. The commitment would only be for three brief rehearsals – two short
ones with just the children, and one slightly longer one where we would add in
the college students.
